Production Technician (Casual, On-Site)

Location: On-site only (no remote work)

Hours: Casual, approximately 20 hours per week

Role Type: Hands-on production

About the Role

We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented production person to support day-to-day manufacturing

operations. This is a physical, hands-on role in a food / biotech production environment. Accuracy,

cleanliness, and consistency matter. If you cut corners or struggle to follow procedures exactly, this

role will not be a good fit.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out production tasks strictly in accordance with SOPs and batch records

- Handle raw materials and finished product safely and accurately

- Clean, sanitize, and maintain production equipment and work areas

- Accurately label, document, and record production data

- Identify and report deviations, contamination risks, or equipment issues

- Maintain high standards of hygiene, quality, and food safety at all times

Required Skills & Attributes

- Strong attention to detail — errors are not acceptable

- Physically fit 

- Comfortable with manual, hands-on work for extended periods

- Able to follow written procedures precisely and consistently

- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently once trained

- Comfortable with repetitive work and process-driven tasks

Desirable (Not Required)

- Science background (biology, chemistry, food science, biotech, or similar)

- Experience working in a laboratory or regulated production environment

- Familiarity with GMP, food production, or quality systems

Employment & Pay

This position is covered by the Food, Beverage and Tobacco Manufacturing Award 2010

(MA000073).

Pay rates are in accordance with the applicable industry award.

No cash-in-hand work — employment is fully compliant.

Superannuation and taxes are paid as required by law.

Other Important Notes

- This is an on-site role only — cannot be done from home

- Casual position, approximately 20 hours per week

- Some flexibility in hours, but reliability and consistency are expected
